Craft: The Green Boa Constrictor

I have done this so many times in the past few years with the boys and kids in the lapbooking classes, using slight variations of the same activity to achieve different learning objectives.

Of course my little Bun Bun must have a go at it as well. This is one of her lapbooking activities.

Yes, we have started lapbooking and having lots of fun while learning heaps!

Other than drawing and cutting out the snake and the small circular/oval/flower shapes, I showed her a sample of what to do and after that, it was a matter following my instructions and get going. She managed to complete 90% of snake all by herself in one sitting of nearly 30 min. Impressive focus for a 23 months old.

I think she did an amazing job, both in the finished product and the learning process. She must be a perfectionist at heart!

Little Miss Bossy

@ 23 months.

From the babbling tot....

Mama, can you pour me a cup of milk please?

I am not happy. I want to go and play.

Are you ready, mama? I am still waiting for you.

Stop looking at the papers. Put the papers down. Hey, I am talking to you!

I am hungry. I need to eat breakfast now. Quick, quick, let's go!

Am I eating sweet potatoes for lunch, am I?

Why is the cheeky bird looking at me? (with an amused chuckle)

I love my clothes. I am going to look in the mirror now.

Where are my Kitty socks? I need to go playground now.

Wait for me. I cannot do this now. I am still busy playing.

Shall we go collect boys now? Let me put on my shoes first.

Mama, shall we go to the shops and buy more oranges? There is no more left for me.

Her Circle Dress

She lovingly calls this "the circle dress" and would insist on wearing it whenever she notices it in her drawer.

I bought it online, together with a giant loot, when I was just 5 months pregnant with her, shortly after my OB confirmed I was expecting a princess.

The upside of having a petite child is the mileage we get from clothes. :>  This sized 18 months dress will probably last her another year.

Children's Season 2013

Olivia's first visit to a museum. I decided it had to be the Singapore Art Museum for the Children's Season 2013. An hour of exploring later, it was closing time. The toddler was visibly satisfied from all the running about and stimulation. All too good for a little outing, especially when there was free admission.

After that day, she reminded me numerous times that we had to return to the museum. Unfortunately, I kept procrastinating and prioritizing other activities over it, so we never did.

However, I did bring the boys a month later, knowing that they would enjoy the installations this year, which in my humble opinion, were the best in the years we had visited.
