Learning About Frogs

This was done a while back. I planned a transdisciplinary homeschooling theme on Frogs for my boys which ended with a visit to the local frog farm

Drawn by my 4yo without guidance, during our Art Appreciation activity. His frog was dancing! And the heart shape in the mouth is supposed to be the throat. :)

Here was one of the crafts we did. He was given a paper to tear up on his own before glueing onto the picture. The tearing is an excellent activity to train fine motor and eye/hand coordination skills. So does any form of collage, like this one.

After the lesson on 'Frog Lifecycle' with the kids, even my 2yo can tell me the stages of the metamorphosis accurately.
