Tried this with E at the Paradise Dynasty on our date night last week.
Surprisingly, my favourite is the foie gras xiao long bao. Got to admit I scoffed at the combination when I first read about it in a promotion brochure.
In this delicate dumpling, we get only a hint of the foie gras in each mouthful, but to me, it is an unexpected match made in heaven. :>
There is something about this sinful pâté which never fails to remind me of my time in Europe. Just that each time I consumed some, I felt an instant guilt and an image of a suffering goose would enter my mind. Which is what's stopping me from running to the nearest delicatessen and treating myself to a posh jar.
