Both my hubby and I can't draw to save our lives so our boys get no guidance from us at all when it comes to drawing. :P
The first two were done in his art class as the 'free expression' pieces, i.e. he decides the theme and do the pieces himself. The teachers may give some suggestions and check his painting techniques, but pretty much leave to him to complete. The last two pieces were drawn at home, entirely on his own. He spends a lot of time drawing at home.
