Bento for 4yo's school lunch.
Contents: homemade beef patties, onigiri with furikake and another with codfish floss and roasted sesame seeds, panfried lotus roots with carrots, quail eggs, cheese cubes and ketchup in the green birdie container.
My boy loved his lunch! But he didn't use any of the ketchup because he didn't know what to dip into it. :)

I'm soooooooo envious that your boys eat such a wide variety of healthy food. I'm a huge failure when it comes to food, have raised very picky eaters.
oh, you've just reminded me of quail's eggs! I've not had that in years!
btw, I made your lasagna the other day, with mushrooms... and it was AMAZING! Go figure whether I'm complimenting you or myself = p
Oh gosh Lilian, how can you be a failure in that department! I am sure your picky eaters have good reasons to be so, since mum is such a fabulous cook. There is no need to settle for less. :)
Ivana, my 4yo loves loves loves quail eggs. If I don't restrain him, he probably can eat the whole pack of 20 at one go. Woo.. now you made my mouth water. I can't take ANY credit for it now that you have added mushrooms to the lasagna..... You can call it your own recipe now. So the compliment must be for you. Hehe! :P
